Gone it seems are the days when kids did these – this ones by 4 old ladies…


Amongst the summer bedding around a bungalow we find this extraordinarily slender abstract topiary formed I think from Lonicera Nitida.




A fine mature cherry tree used to occupy this flower bed, albeit regularly underplanted with viciously coloured summer bedding.
For reasons best known to North Ayrshire Council’s trafficky department the bed and the surrounding tarmac was torn up recently and reconfigured in almost exactly the same way minus the tree.
This has offered the Parks dept. new scope to blind passersby with this poorly executed horticultural car crash.
